French student looking for host family

Hi everyone:

I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine who is trying to help her neighbor's 16 year-old daughter find a family to stay with this summer (see her email below). I met the family last year when I stayed with my friend in Avignon.

This would be a great opportunity for Americans to improve their French conversational ability and for a possible future exchange/stay in Avignon.

"I am contacting you for I am looking for a host family for my neighbor, Jeanne d'Anselme, the 16-year-old daughter of Marie-Agnes and Jacques d'Anselme de la Puisaye (Jacques passed away 3 years ago) would love to have a month or so in the U.S.A. to improve her English and broaden her horizons. She would be an asset to any family that cared to host her, and the possibilities for exchange on this end are endless. Marie-Agnes has a lovely home in Avignon and their family is active and dynamic and fun. Is there any possibility of putting me / them in touch with a family that could be interested ? Jeanne is entering her senior year in high school. She is a good student, a discrete and fun young woman, and a champion runner (has qualified for the championships of France through her track and field club). She would love to come to the US and her preferred dates would be end of July to mid-late August (even if sports events or resuming at the US high school ... she could perhaps tag along...). Please let me know ...?!"
